The wine Nexus Plus 2011, from Bodegas Nexus Frontaura, has achieved 93 points in the prestigious Peñín Guide 2018; while Nexus Crianza 2011 has reached 92 points and Nexus One 2015, 90 points.
Nexus Plus comes from old Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) vineyards of the Appellation of Origin Ribera del Duero, located in the village of La Horra, and, after the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, remains 18 months in French oak barrels. It is a very fruity wine with some toasted touches, with structure, but soft.
Nexus Crianza, on the other hand, comes from vineyards in Piñel de Abajo, also of the Tempranillo grape and stays for 12 months in French oak barrels. A wine in which the prevails the fruit, spiced and balsamic aromas.
Nexus One is the youngest wine of the three, with between 6 and 8 months of aging in French oak barrels, in order to provide more personality to a wine in which the fruity and intense aromas of the Tempranillo grape stand out.
With these qualifications, that reach and exceed 90 points, Bodegas Nexus Frontaura continues with the quality level that has been offering in recent years and is appreciated by prescribers all over the world.
